| Gatekeeper is being used by an international tobacco company to control their spare parts material master records in SAP at 32 locations globally. The implementation, live since 2003, manages around 2,000,000 separate material master records, with data being provided directly from more than 30 different manufacturers. The company projected a saving of 16 staff through the centralisation of data management into the Masterpiece system.
A customer in the Office Products sector has implemented Gatekeeper functions using web services to support a major initiative to bring their entire catalogue management systems together. In this implementation, working in conjunction with SAP’s MDM product, Gatekeeper allows users to create new product information in any one of 9 European languages and will automatically provide translated data in all 9 languages for use in the various countries ERP systems. |
